A broad waterfall near Seattle with upper observation decks and a separate lower viewing area.
Snoqualmie Falls brings a large waterfall into reach of a short stop: the upper park has two observation decks overlooking its approximately 270-foot drop. Those upper viewpoints are the simplest way to appreciate the river and gorge without committing to the route down to the lower park. The setting also includes Salish Lodge and a visitor center.
Choose your parking and walking route before arriving. The official visitor site distinguishes paid parking close to the upper park from free parking across the street, and describes a wheelchair-accessible approach from the paid lot to the upper viewing platform. A lower viewing area offers a different perspective, but should be planned as a separate walk. Check current park notices and parking details, remain in designated viewing areas, and give other visitors room on busy overlooks.
